Entries are compiled from hotel websites, published maps and press coverage, and each one records what a building is and where it stands. The pages are reviewed on a fixed schedule, and the date of the last check appears with every entry. There are no prices here, no scores, and no booking of any kind.

How we keep it current
Hotels are chosen for what can be described from published material: the building, the site around it and the way the rooms are arranged. Where a fact could not be confirmed against a source, it was left out rather than guessed at. Nothing on these pages is written from a stay, and no entry is compared against another.
The winter section needs a further word. Buildings of snow and ice stand for one season and are raised again from nothing the following year, so what is described will not be the same structure by the time it is read. Dates and access for those sites are confirmed with the hotel, never here.
